Why I built Virtual Treadmill

When I started running on a treadmill during winter, I used the Apple Watch Workouts app to track my runs. But without GPS, it often guessed the speed and distance wrong—sometimes off by more than a mile.

My gym’s treadmills aren’t smart or GymKit-enabled, and I wanted a simple way to match the treadmill speed manually so the data would stay accurate. I couldn’t find an app that did that, so I made one.

That’s how Virtual Treadmill was created.
