An impromptu shutdown last night forced me onto Firefox 148, and the Block AI Enhancements feature - or rather, how Firefox has implemented it - doesn't inspire confidence. It's not just a toggle; it's also this little "Please don't turn off the AI enhancements we worked so hard to bring you" pop-up that stands between me and turning off these enhancements nobody asked for. It's clear they still plan to implement AI features in Firefox, in spite of their users not actually wanting them.
"Chuck! Chuck, it's Marvin. Your cousin, Marvin Berry. You know that new song you've been writing? Well, some dorky white kid's playing it at this prom! No, seriously, listen to it. Look, I don't know how he found out about it, but that's definitely YOUR song! He's even doing the duckwalk and everything. I'd call your lawyer if I were you."

I don't see these as contradicting each other. Greed, anti-sociality, impatience, utilitarianism, indifference to unpresent Others...These are just as much expressions of humanity as pursuing creative endeavors for their own sake, in large part because they're reflections of how us humans have structured the society that produced and maintains AI to begin with.

Found out Goblin.band is back up and promptly downloaded my posts before it went down again. Browsing through them, I was reminded of Unwashed Pussy Smell Lady from Birdie Wing.
You know the Time Police added that "as also are Freud and Jung" clause to deter would-be time travelers from bombing 1913 Vienna - an otherwise low-priority destination for the Time Police - and forever altering the course of history.
