@[email protected] I was forced to learn most of this stuff in my 30s, and had forgotten much of it. At the time I was under the care of a brilliant GP & Gynae in London. Hadn't realised outside of London it would be so poor. In NZ ... well ... we need to up our game. For the physical and mental health, social and economic health of ourselves and others.
So, this menopause show is a bit of an eye opener. If you haven't seen it, watch it on demand - whatever age you are. Demand better options in NZ #NZTwit #Menopause #SexMindAndTheMenopause

I have a chat group with my school friends back in #Iran. 15-20 women, more than half are scattered around the world… a handful are still in Iran. Today one of them (who is a school teacher in Tehran) sent a message asking what the international community is doing…. “Can’t they see? How many more need to be executed? We are losing our minds over this violence”

I had no response… should I say: they don’t care? No one cares?

@aurynn Maybe something from https://trc.org.nz/course-information - their focus is on the Treaty and equity etc. One place to start.

“Copenhagen has invested around 280 million euro in bike infrastructure in the last 10 years or so. That’s about the same cost as one 3 km bypass north of the city for cars. So you can choose…what would you rather have?” — former Copenhagen Deputy Mayor Morten Kabell #CityMakingMath #Copenhagen #bikelanes #cities #urbanism #transportation

The Dutch invest €595 million annually on urban biking, resulting in €19 BILLION saved in public health care costs alone. That’s how smart governments do the right math on investing in better mobility.

Let’s be clear — it wastes public money to NOT do it.

#CityMakingMath, hat tip to @modacitylife for their excellent books!

I slipped. Stopped being quite so cautious and here we are, two years of successfully avoiding the virus come to an end. Very annoyed - now I don't get to host one of my oldest & dearest, as she returns to NZ for first time since pandemic, with her boys in tow. Both of whom have grown so much and I won't get to hug them. It's just a fucker. While I feel miserable I know it could be a whole lot worse but just damn it. #CovidNZ #NZTwits
I've watched this on an endless loop for 15 minutes.

In regards to reporting to Twitter, once we see the open proliferation of the March 15 livestream on twitter it might be better to ignore the inbuilt reporting function in the app and just go directly to https://help.twitter.com/en/forms/safety-and-sensitive-content/hateful-conduct and make a report there.

That feature while it remains will also allow you to add an explanation, that is not available when directly reporting tweets through the app etc
