Every report that I've seen on the reality of GPT-5 is polar opposite of the hype vibe. #Fail

The GPT-5 reports get better and better each day. What started as euphoric praise soon turned to utter disappointment from the same people.

Jevons paradox describes the phenomenon where increased efficiency in the use of a resource actually leads to a greater overall consumption of that resource rather than a decrease. This counterintuitive concept, first identified by William Stanley Jevons in 1865, suggests that technological advancements aimed at improving efficiency can, paradoxically, increase resource use due to increased demand spurred by lower costs.

And, yet, they continue trying to be done with us.

The AI hype has reached slapstick level comedy while they seem to be attempting to cause hysteria such as with "The War of the Worlds." That 1938 radio drama caused many to think it was reporting a real Marsian attack.

"[Altman] admitted that AI was advancing and scaling rapidly, potentially outpacing the oversights put in place to prevent the technology from spiraling out of control. 'It feels like there are no adults in the room.'"

I still consider the #OSS "bazaar" a superior way to produce products vs. the closed source "cathedral" approach.

Yet, OSS no longer seems sustainable for new, large, complex products. Thoughts?
