Mid-twenties trans writer (she/they). Can’t get enough of a very particular flavor of occult horror, but will settle for any kind of horror in a pinch, especially lovecraftian.
I’ve been out of work sick for two weeks now. my bank account’s overdrawn. really thought things were turning around. I’m so very tired

"I won't attend your event due to the lack of Covid protections."
-Sensible and reasonable but boring.

"A vow of solitude for the duration of the plague prevents my presence. Your careless congregations tempt fate and threaten the wellbeing of our bloodlines. My duty is to health and reason."
-Mysterious, heroic, epic.

Writing is weird.

'Hey, you wanna hear about this thing that didn't happen?'
'To you, or-'
'To these people who don't exist. The whole thing's fake. Absolute bullshit, top to bottom. Are you in or not?'

I feel like death- just barely started my new job, and the first thing that happens is I get a week-long cold.

If rail workers do end up engaging in a wildcat or otherwise illegal strike, PLEASE remember that strikes are meant to be disruptive. If you see someone talking about the rail strike and how it's having such a huge impact, say things like "Yeah, it's crazy how much of our economy relies on them. That's why they deserve good health care."

Don't give in to anti-labour rhetoric. Combat false narratives. Solidarity Forever.

feeling a little down about nanowrimo this year. I made it to about 17000 words working on a few short stories, and while it’s better than I had been doing, it’s a little disheartening to realize it’s the best I could do. and even though I know I shouldn’t be too hard on first drafts, I’m also not feeling great about their quality

maybe after this I’ll keep writing more, at least

There are a few other removals that I also think weaken the story, but this is the main one, and all the others are more or less related. It’s such an important part of the story that I genuinely don’t understand the decision to leave it out. (4/4)
