Also had a late night last night—an event at the Grolier Club on letter locking. It was very cool. They had these little facsimile models of real letters.
@slevelt i think all the c16-17 early modernists have gone from this place except you and I. Can you offer any help with this rendering of the date? obvs feb 1659 but what is that in between?

Spent this morning re-watching Clockwatchers, a kind of underrated movie about temps. I'm teaching it this fall in my Labor & Leisure class & will have a writing assignment on it because it'll be good for teaching a number of things. But found this moment especially hilarious in light of, you know, the times.
