A bilingual inscription from the 2nd c. BC, written on a schist stone, discovered in 1960 in Piedmont. This boundary stone delimitated the land of Acisius "Argantomaterecus". The cobblestone mosaics are a modern German speciality. They are commonly attributed to the paver Alois Krems. His work was inspired by pavings in southern France. In the late 19th century, as part of major road reconstruction works, several roads were repaved between 1901 and 1911. #MosaicMonday

Overlooking the ocean, 12 massive sculptures by Galician artist Manolo Paz were created in 1994. The granite sculptures were inspired by the Neolithic menhirs that are found throughout the Iberian Peninsula. They are called Menhirs for Peace and are popular at sun set. #StandingStoneSunday
