We're striking again today as part of the @ucu fight for fair pay and conditions.

Pickets at Treforrest, Cardiff and Newport, 8am till 10am.

We don't want to be striking, but our SMT are amongst the most punitive in the UK, and don't seem to want to talk.

Bad and brilliant singing at University of Edinburgh picket this morning. Our resolve hardened by our uni leadership rejecting an offer to clear the MAB backlog faster, in return for refunding our 50% salary deductions. Instead, slowed the process delayed by another week. #ucu #mab @ucuedinburgh

Time to dust of the pink beanies. There will be strikes at @UniSouthWales next week. Monday through to Friday at the Treforrest, Cardiff and Newport campuses. Nobody wants this, but faced with a punitive and intransigent SMT, we are left with little choice.

Staff at King's College London have agreed to end their marking boycott after winning an increase to London weighting, longer paid parental leave, and childcare subsidies.

An overwhelming 96% of King's College UCU members attending a meeting last week voted to end the boycott and accept the deal.
