ChatGPT and similar LLM AI are incredible tools with a wide range of uses. One people seem really keen on pushing is creative work, and that simply isn't what these are for.

These AI are designed to be as value neutral as possible, and art NEEDS to have a point of view right or wrong. This is part of why AI generated stories and dialogue ring so hollow to audiences. The sooner people looking to put money behind art realise this, the better for consumers and wider culture.

I'm so tired of seeing jobs posted on Upwork by people advertising high hourly rates for writing, only to find out its the same people claiming to be from Ingenta software asking for a "security fee" to begin "simple copy work" involving making .png files with words on them into .docx

Guys don't pay people for the privilege of working. It's such a despicable scam to post an ad that could honestly waste someone's time as they try to make a living out of their craft, let alone take their money.

I've been watching a conservative "news" outlet out of Chicago try and fail to find a ChatGPT writer on UpWork for 3 days now. At first they were all no nonsense and strictly looking within their timezone. Now they're hiring out of Croatia and portraying a fun and quirky image 💀
