Greyhound racing has been banned in Scotland!

We were one of the last countries on the planet to allow it. But the Scottish Parliament overwhelmingly backed our bill last night.

@mogwai_poet fwiw I got a Sony (a80j) because any internet stuff is completely skippable, and there’s no nags once it’s set up. It literally just displays the things that are plugged in, and I don’t have to worry about adding an account, connecting to WiFi, ads, spying, or anything other creepy modern TV thing. Not sure on more recent models, but maybe worth checking?

The Private Finance Initiative (PFI) contract for the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh (built for ~£180 million in 2003) is expected to cost NHS Lothian roughly £1.1 billion to £1.26 billion in total repayments by the time the main contract expires in 2027. Even that is not the full cost, as a buy-back clause comes into effect, where another fee has to be agreed to transfer the hospital into public hands.
The people are being robbed blind. Labour has been a disaster for Scotland.
