Got a passport photo taken today and their digital biometrics system ‘failed’ the photo.

Why?

Oh, well, I guess people with visual differences are apparently abnormal??! I have a condition (from birth) that affects my eyes and it’s more apparent in photos, especially IDs and other images using a flash. Apparently the left/right of my face wasn’t symmetrical enough for the computer.

Sometimes I absolutely loath tech.

Oh! Yes, I’m finally applying for my Canadian citizenship. 🫶🏻
