Born in Uranium City, Saskatchewan, in Canada's centenary year (1967). I’ve lived across Canada—Port Hope, Cobourg, Surrey, Saskatoon, Montréal, Lions Bay—and worked on mining projects across Canada and internationally, including the UK. Now settled by the Thames Estuary in Kent, England, where I’ve lived longer than anywhere else since late 2014, treasuring the memory of my wonderful wife and our terrific dog, Cookie 🍪.

Appalled by the Fraser Lake news—not just the Inn, but the strip mall and supermarket too. I know that hub well from 3 summers as a student at Endako mine ('87, '88, '90) with Placer Dome. My father was also there for much of the late 90s & naughts with Thompson Creek after the takeover.

A massive blow to the town, but the loss of life is the true tragedy. God bless the community. 🌲⚒️

The #Canucks narrative that Hronek is "untouchable" feels off.

I appreciate his ability—he’s a top-pair RHD workhorse—but since coming from the #RedWings, he’s only ever played for rebuilding teams.

At 28, why wouldn't he want to move for hockey reasons? He deserves a shot at a contender.

If the return is a haul of 2026-28 picks, the Canucks should move him now. Unless a contract clause or off-ice stability is holding him back, he’s our best chip. ⏳

The transformation of Elias Pettersson is a quiet truth the masses overlook. We witness the "Bergeron-ification" of a talent once defined only by his impact on the scoreboard.

EP40 has surrendered the role of offensive dynamo-at least temporarily-for the austere labour of the defensive specialist. To suppress the opponent is now his primary service.

I miss hugging Jenny to share our love every morning.

I feel the need to express this outside my head. It’s more like thinking out loud, a bit like talking to myself when walking alone in the bush (harder to do in Britain).

I’ve been reflecting on the tribute I gave for my wife, Jenny, at her funeral last week. Public speaking doesn’t bother me as long as I am prepared, but being able to stand up & honour her properly mattered more than I expected.

I just wanted to put these thoughts somewhere outside my own head.

Fu*king cancer took her

@conejoclint Will get right on that as soon as I'm done .... oh, wait.
EP40 isn’t as flashy offensively right now, but defensively he’s been doing solid work. Development isn’t linear. Give him a year or two — dominant wouldn’t surprise me. #Canucks #NHL

Saskatchewan: Canada's Breadbasket

Saskatchewan produces more than half of all wheat grown in Canada, earning its nickname as "Canada's Breadbasket." The province has approximately 40% of Canada's cultivated farmland and is the world's largest exporter of lentils and dried peas. Its agricultural dominance is represented by wheat sheaves on the provincial coat of arms. 🌾

Eight days without you, Jenny. It’s a horrible reality, but my love only grows.
I’m holding onto the thought of your Kalon—your inner and outer beauty combined.
You were, and are, everything to me

I’m no philosopher (I’m an engineer, hence the upcoming formula 😉), but I see beauty as a virtue, with character as a vital variable.

A(t) = f(P(C,t), C, t)

Appreciation (A) over time (t) isn't static. Physical attraction (P) is a function of character (C) over time. As my wife’s spirit shone through her fight over the past year, she became more beautiful to me. That beauty is an eternal truth.
