Hi!

This is Dawn Tåke 🏳️‍⚧️
from https://mastodon.social/@Tourma

I'm going to start redirecting people to this account from my old one on Mastodon.Social. Not going on a full-on move just yet.

I hate doing anything permanent.

So if you see this, please follow me here!

@graygoogirl
Yeah. At this point any time I have to mail money I put it in the box in a post office. At least that keeps it from being stolen out of the box on the street, (a problem here recently.) Also, I've heard use sharpie instead of a ballpoint pen. Harder to tamper.

And yay for devoting anxiety to other horrors. >_<

@haeckerfelix

I've thought about getting one of those grounding bracelets when it's super dry in the winter at work. Maybe you need one on the chair. XP

Twitter is dying, but my advocacy work helping trans people raise money via fundraisers depends on my five years of work I've spent writing on Twitter, so I need help.

If you're a trans person who needs help raising money for any reason, reply to this toot with your fundraiser. I'll reach out.

If you're a cis person and you can, please boost this post so your trans followers can see it.

I do have far more serious conversations and posts here, especially more than Tumblr, but nah. There's plenty of shitposts here too.

Hm. Thinking about setting up a redirect to my new instance instead of a full on move.

Y'all would have to manually follow me there if I did that, right? That's the advantage of the move? I would like to save more of my stuff from here, but I'm lazy. XP

First thing that comes to mind is an Asian coin of unknown provenance. Its vaguely quarter shaped and someone used it at the Blockbuster I worked it. Was the wrong weight though and the money counter didn't like it, so I switched it with a US quarter and kept it.

I call it the "Arby's Man" coin as the dude on it has a tall hat vaguely reminiscent to the Arby's logo.

@Rasp
This got me thinking. Mythbusters did how fast a CD has to spin to have a critical failure. These things go considerably faster in normal usage. Now I'm just pondering how fast they'd have to go to shatter on the spindle and how much damage they could do. :P
@Rasp
One thing I was smart enough to never do throughout the height of pandemic panic.
@seachanger
There would be an IMMEDIATE fork to put that back in.
