1807-Act Prohibiting Importation of Slaves
1820-slave trading became a capital offense w/ an amendment to the 1819 Act to Protect the Commerce of the U.S. & Punish the Crime of Piracy.

"An undisclosed number of people are missing after a “massive” landslide destroyed at least two houses…about 11 miles outside of Wrangell late Monday night…initial measurements show the slide…stretches from the uplands to the saltwater."
There were also landslides on Prince of Wales Island blocking roads.
