Microeconomics: Economic Research Seminar

Are you interested in the connection between firm growth, productivity, and productivity dispersion? Our paper (with Jangho Yang and Brian Cozzarin) got published in the Journal of Evolutionary Economics today: https://doi.org/10.1007/s00191-025-00891-z Using data for Canada, we found some very interesting results (negative relation of growth and productivity dispersion (NIQR), inverted U-shape for growth and productivity). We have some ideas how these might come to pass.
Our final highlight this term is a talk by our very own Prof. Christian Breuer (TU Chemnitz) who will present the new annual report of the German council of economic advisors. Please join us in person or online, all infos are here: https://www.tu-chemnitz.de/wirtschaft/vwl2/forschungsseminar/index.php.en
