@Urban_Hermit Step One: Nationwide multi-employer IT unions.
@curiousrobot @ChuckMcManis @ai6yr “Sir, we’ve determined the leader of the cell and the network they use to communicate.”
@ai6yr @ChuckMcManis @BenAveling I got the Aranet radon monitor.
Pros: Easy, fast, realtime reading with 30-day average, no mailing in to a lab.
Cons: Now I know what my radon levels are like, lol.
@paul_ipv6 @ai6yr @McCrankyface If we have a ticket open too long, we’re told to close it and open a new one with the same content to restart the aging clock.

@ai6yr Oh god, as an IT worker, that would indeed backfire *spectacularly*.

We used to have a supervisor who was insisting on opening a ticket every time anything was done on a server, per server, despite our *several* attempts to ask/warn “Are you sure? That won’t go well.” Well, until one month he finally got a separate ticket for Every. Single. Server. We. Patched. All of them. Making his pretty “metrics” graph that he liked to show superiors leap by a couple orders of magnitude and lose anything remotely resembling meaning.

@leigh @the_other_jon So, um, there are accessories to strap a key to your thigh for this kind of thing and some keys explicitly designed for that.

I should probably be concerned that I know this.

If you mash the audio example buttons on the wikipedia page for the IPA vowel sounds you can create a choir of mildly disgusted men

Prager U accused the United States of being inherently racist.

That was woke of them.

@ai6yr I mean, it is a little silly, but making modular baby gear does make a ton of sense…
@ai6yr @kstatz12 @dan Largely, anyway. It still has popularity around Christmas, but isn’t a “normal” food anymore for the most part. Pretty sure more is consumed in the Midwest than in Norway.
