The #MTGSOS prerelease has been gnawing at me due to a ruling someone said regarding Ark of Hunger and Wilt in the Heat.
If I mill Wilt in the Heat with Ark of Hunger, can I play Wilt for just RW, even if no other card has left my graveyard?
I was told you couldn’t as it had not left the graveyard.
But the first step of casting a spell is to put it on the stack, so wouldn’t that mean it has left the graveyard before you determine costs?

Sorry for the grim news. But I think this is important, and I want each of you in your respective countries to think about whether you'd be willing to contact your representative to tell them to pressure Canada to open the doors to trans refugees.
That's it. No changes in your countries are needed - just people willing to stand up and say "Never Again". This is the bad one. This is the Nuremberg Race Laws being enacted. This will basically strip all ability from any federally-funded entity - ANY - that allows that trans people exist.
This one, my friends, I'm sorry, but it's the choice to genocide the trans population of the US. A nice quiet one. Where we all just fade into obscurity, and are never seen again. They want to cause us so much despair that we will take care of the final solution part for them.
Please. If you give a damn about humanity, and people's rights to live as who they are...basic human dignity. Health care. Not being force-detransitioned in prisons that we've been put into because we were designated terrorists by the Nazi regime of Trump.
Just contact your rep, whoever that is, wherever that is, and start that conversation for me, okay? Just ask them to start asking questions. Of Canada. We have a chance to save literally hundreds of thousands of innocent US trans folk.
I can handle the work on this end, in Canada. I have people I can mobilise, work with. But international pressure would be an ENORMOUS help.

Once again we need to fight for our rights and protections. If the shitshow that’s happening in the US right now is teaching us anything, it’s that legal protections are never completely settled and can be removed or reduced at any time if the people who hate us are able to mobilise and drag us back to the 1950s.

The #Riftbound Pre-Rift last night was my first foray into 2v2 (whilst also having to provide rulings) and that was so much more fun than I was expecting. Being able to chat through plays with your partner lessened the social barrier and I heard so many people sharing cool stories of their games.
I played Master Yi with a splash for Red Brambleback, but was just really impressed how quickly level 6 comes online. I might have to consider him for constructed as well…
Oh so *that’s* how you pronounce “Gemerl”. I never thought to pronounce it closer to “Emerald” but with the “a” being empty sound. (I wonder how it would be written phonetically.)
I always started with “Jee” and ended with “Earl”. Almost as if it was equivalent to “G-Merl”.
So I know this is the introduction of Sage into the comics, but I thought this was also a time skip. Was I mistaken? Was the time skip earlier?
