@lasse and I investigating combinations of different electric vehicle (BEV) #policies implemented at different #policy levels that promote the uptake of BEVs in European #cities
We find two alternative #policymixes that promote the uptake of BEVs.
Our research underscores multiple ways in which BEV diffusion in cities may be successful.

The "Going electric" session on the third day of the European Transport Conference 2024 #ETCantwerp2024 offered some lively discussion that were entering around #EV policies, battery-electric bus fleets, electricity grid extension and integration of renewable energy resources. My presentation about #EV policy mixes in EU cities sparked some interesting questions that addressed the practicality of results for policymakers. Looking forward to ETC 2025!
I made it to #ETCAntwerp2024 and joined a great session in the "System Dynamics" track. Very intriguing and inspiring presentations about the application of (participatory) systems mapping and systems dynamics modelling in the EU and Japan.
Gillian Harrison introduced UK´s NET ZERO SYSTEMS TOOL. Hats off to UK´s public institutions. It is an inspiring and likewise impressive approach to tackle climate crisis across societal domains.

Our research reveals different policy configurations that successfully promote the uptake of BEV in cities in Europe.
Urban context matters. Thus, BEV policies should be carefully and dynamically tailored to the local context.
