Background Mandatory spending on programs other than Social Security and the major health care programs (referred to as other mandatory spending in this option) accounted for 50 percent of mandatory outlays and 36 percent of all outlays in 2021. Most of the outlays for other mandatory programs in that year were for temporary programs (or temporary expansions to existing programs) established in response to the coronavirus pandemic.

There are certifications around the theory of computing, networking, and security, but there aren’t any hands-on competency based certs that aren’t vendor specific or that aren’t security focused. Would there be a demand for training and certification around vendor neutral solutions for systems administration?
