Great news for #NixOS and nix users wanting to run bleeding edge, unreleased versions of #QGIS As of today you can now simply run this command to run the latest version of #QGIS in git:

nix run github:qgis/QGIS#qgis

Note: When you run this command, it will take a while and your CPU will work hard since it builds everything from source.

I added the #OpenStreetMap Foundation #VectorTiles server to #QGIS with the demo style and it just works.

It feels about as responsive as the OpenStreetMap Standard layer does in QGIS but is sharper on my high-resolution display.

Avant, on avait sur le Web des textes mal écrits par des humains incompétents. Maintenant, on a des textes bien écrits par des IA bourrées. Un collègue a trouvé une page Web « qui confondait UPS, le transporteur de colis avec UPS, le sigle anglais pour désigner un onduleur. Donc le site suggérait de redémarrer l’onduleur pour résoudre un problème de livraison de colis. »

I mostly created this because I wasn't a fan of the demo map style previously used. The map works anywhere in the world and the location of the example picture is https://www.openstreetmap.org/#map=19/-20.154585/28.587456 . Pretty much all the data in the example tiles is shown; if you can't see something, it's likely not there.
