Rohtak – Authorities have released CCTV footage showing the accused, identified as Sachin, carrying a suitcase containing the body of Congress worker Himani Narwal. The 22-year-old Haryana Congress worker was allegedly murdered by Sachin, who strangled her with a mobile charger wire before disposing of her body in a suitcase near the Sampla bus stand in Rohtak.
Police confirmed on Monday that the individual captured in the footage dragging the suitcase was indeed Sachin, who confessed to the crime following his arrest. Investigations revealed that the murder took place on February 27 at Narwal’s residence in Rohtak’s Vijay Nagar area after an altercation between the two.
Following the crime, Sachin transported the body in the suitcase and abandoned it along the highway near the Sampla bus stand. However, CCTV cameras in the area recorded him carrying the suitcase, leading to his identification and arrest.
According to PTI reports, CCTV footage dated February 28, 2025, has been verified by the police. The visuals show Sachin moving through a street with a black suitcase containing the victim’s body. Authorities confirmed his arrest earlier today, with investigations ongoing.
