My experiences and recommendations on changing Search Engine (SE) to Mojeek.com:
- Shows results based on own indexes 😃, so no hidden US-base.
- Results are far less good but with option in settings you can have alternative SE's below on each page. It makes it very easy to seach on via e.g. Qwant.
- They respect privacy
- It improves by our usage and the USA will loose value.
- It an UK-based company, not using big tech at all (as far as I could research)
The Dutch government considers the online authentication system (DigiD) to be acquired by a US-company 😠
The main reason they do not stop it is that they fear retaliation from the US government 😞
DigiD allows Dutch citizens and residents to securely access government services and websites, such as tax portals, healthcare systems, municipal services, and social security platforms.

Defence is critical, stop working together with the USA!

Boycotts are effective, as this shows once again. Discourage bad choices. Invest in green energy and turn the heating down a notch.
Your personal data and the time and clicks you spend on platforms are worth a lot of money. Don’t give it to US Big Tech, but to open-source projects and companies in countries that still value international law.

Car Rental - companies should:
At #online booking:
- should collect all required info to avoid pickup delays.
- should disclose all possible insurances and extra charges, including cross-border fees 50 euro per day.
At pickup:
- must provide a clear damage report. Relying on consumers to spot issues is unfair.
- extra damages at pick up, should be confirmed prompt by the rental company.
- vehicles should be provided with a full tank.
