Kart racing games really do not get old.
I wrote a new post about why I still love the genre, from Super Mario Kart and Mario Kart 64 to Mario Kart Wii, Hot Wheels Unleashed, Lego City Undercover, and Lego 2K Drive.
Part of it is nostalgia, sure. But part of it is that kart racers just work.

Collectors often assume shrink wrap means a video game is brand new. That is not always true.
Many retro game stores re-wrap opened games before putting them on display.
Two quick ways to tell the difference:
• Y-Folds on disc games like PlayStation and Xbox titles
• H-Seams on Nintendo cartridge boxes such as NES and SNES
These manufacturing details are one of the easiest ways to spot real factory sealed games.

We just bought a great retro game collection from a seller in Minnesota.
Heavy RPG presence across NES, GameCube, Wii, DS/3DS, and PlayStation, with a standout copy of Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance (GameCube). Zelda, Final Fantasy, Resident Evil, and NES classics rounded out the haul.
Always fun getting to test collections like this as part of the job.

When Final Fantasy VII Remake released, I went back and played the original FFVII first.
Replaying the 1997 game alongside Remake and Rebirth made the modern versions hit harder — emotionally, musically, and tonally. I noticed details and choices I would’ve missed otherwise.
