The insurance company didn't fix my kitchen sockets. The paint job and flooring is lovely though. But now I have to fix the kitchen myself, probably, and redecorate, probably, I should tot up the money I have to spend vs the money I paid out for insurance.

50/50 I should have put it in an ISA instead. Maybe 60/50 and still come out with money to spend on men, booze and las vegas. And everything actually fixed.

Peculiar craving for burned rice or burned toast.

What does this mean?

I know in the Netherlands when I was there long ago they sold charcoal pills I think for an upset stomach? My stomach is fine though. I just really want burned (as in totally charred) rice or toast.
And no at my age I am not pregnant. Nor been anywhere near anything that could make that happen, so it's not that. Just a food craving, but a weird one.

As U.S. tensions persist, buy-local movement remains strong in Nova Scotia | CBC News

U.S. President Donald Trump’s talk of Canada becoming the 51st state made Halifax’s Dale Darling stop buying American products. And she's far from alone, numbers show.

For decades, #bigOil companies have funded universities’ research into climate change “solutions” that would not require the public to stop using oil and gas.

Carbon capture is one of their favored ideas.

One snag: It won’t fix the climate crisis. There's no place to bury their pollutants. You can't feed all of it to forests and to mushrooms and to oceans; not by a long shot; no matter how badly Big Oil corrupts #higherEd & #research #science

Why Carbon Capture Can’t Conceivably Solve The Climate Collapse

False Promises

As global leaders look to tech advances to solve climate change, one leading idea involves capturing carbon pollution from the air and burying it underground forever. While carbon capture may sound practical, there is no conceivable way it can work.

True story, my daughter was once the 'voice' in a lift locally. We always pressed it lots of times to hear it. It's been replaced by a robot now though. ☹️ Obviously we always ask her to do the lift voice anytime we're in a lift anyway. 😂
But too much people. I probably disappear for a bit. Yes, is nice, but some kind of sensory overload or something.
I've had a peopley day so if I was a cat I would look as if I'd just been electrocuted. Takes a lot out of me, somehow. I do enjoy it though. That's the weird.
...did not have to get older for that one though... I poof gone a lot. 🤣
