@dragonarchitect for me it is just any ladder. Fixed, unfixed, doesn't matter. I wouldn't even touch one with a 10 foot pole.

The unfixed ones though tend to be way worse for me. I physically feel myself tense up when around them, even if they are stored away.

I have tried looking into it in the past but I only get acrophobia (fear of heights) or aerophobia (fear of flying) as a response, and nothing specifically about ladders. Yay.

Here's a fun fact about me:
I hate ladders. I don't like being on them, I don't like being near them, I don't like thinking about them.

It's more of an irrational fear or phobia than anything. Interestingly for me, heights are fine. It's just ladders.

I get the whole privacy thing to do is to move to signal or telegram or whatever but all my friends have been using discord (or steam for a select few) for so long that trying to move over to something like that would take too much effort than I am willing to give.

Is discord (or any other major site for that matter) a data harvester? Sure but at this point I could care less. I use fedi because I just much prefer it over birdsite or bsky.

like... i am just not happy with the line art at all...

and i know it is just me who probably thinks so but like...

i know i shouldn't compare, but i feel like my friend who is also doing art fight just naturally is better than I am...

I want to be better, i want to be out of this mindset that i cant do it, but i... i dont know anymore...

@TheCrafters001 i think these lines are really good and clean though, this is already pretty good! i know it may be hard to see yourself as having decent skills (trust me, i find it hard to believe others think my art is that good), but imo you are already capable of making some great stuff. you should keep going, the more you draw the more you feel confident in your art (even if its by just a little)

@TheCrafters001 understandable. You can try making the lines of different weight to makes for light and distance between parts.

you can test this out by making thin lines and pass shady parts again, the result will be sloppy but if it works you will see it
