This headline has not made it into most of the media. The Manchester police have admitted that one of the worshippers who died during the attack on a synagogue was shot by armed officers. The article goes on to explain that another victim who survived and is in hospital was also shot by police.

Lots of ordinary people live there and it has a rich political history. In 1649 Cromwell suppressed the Levellers, executing three of their leaders at Burford church, prior to invading Ireland. The event is commemorated in May every year with a march.
A security circus has come to the Cotswolds as J. D. Vance arrives. While some locals are relieved that filming of the television series Clarkson's Farm has been disrupted by the imposition of a no-fly zone others are concerned that unidentified security forces have been knocking on their doors demanding to know their social media history.

Monday morning and London has not been nuked over the weekend. I have to say I'm quite pleased about it because I have tomato and pepper seedlings to plant out in a few weeks when the frost has passed. I'm beginning to think Putin is not the threat Trump and the Left claim. I imagine him jabbing futilely at a red button on his desk saying "Fly, my beauties, fly." While the generals huddle outside the door arguing about who will tell him the missiles don't work.
