Next Wednesday, I make my triumphant return to my blogging with a review of Crisol: Theater of Idols.

Did you miss me?

15. Your Most Memorable Performance: When I took off my mask to reveal the scale prosthetic for my dragon act. I have NEVER heard such gasps or screams.
16. You Like Least About Performing: The sheer exhaustion and drop afterwards. Dealing with drag politics, and being an "old".
13. What Would You Like to be Remembered for: Having the emergency kit and the ability to keep people calm before performing. Also, the person who will help with untangling fishnets or reinforcing your wig.
14. Fav Costume: Landon Cider has always been an inspiration to me, same with Throb Zombie.
6. Favorite genre of music: Whatever suits my idea. I've done dark Southern Gothic, etc.
7. How Long In The Game: Only three years.
8. Favorite Character illusion: Jinx Monsoon?
9. City of Origin: San Diego, CA
10. Favorite Drag Show: I love me some dark, alt, monster creepy shows. Give me the rage and the weird.
11. Favorite Song to Perform: Believer by Imagine Dragon
12.Children: Not a one.
Stolen from J. V. Hampton Van-Sant (who if you haven't heard of, what are you doing wrong with your life?)
1. First Drag Name: Reed Faster (chosen by crowd sourcing, because I'm a former librarian and an avid reader)
2. Current Drag Name: Reed Faster
3. Drag parents: None, but... I would love some drag siblings.
4. First Drag Performance: 2023? I did a board game themed show as Professor Plum.
5. Home Stage: Anywhere I can perform, but I'm based in Nashville, TN

When I first started this book, I had no idea how much it was going to hit home, especially with complicated feelings around fathers. There are a lot of trigger warnings, especially around child abuse and body horror, but I recommend this one.

Bonus points for the author coming from a Jewish family. (When the Wolf Comes Home by Nat Cassidy).

My oh my, dark romance is in the air.

Would you like another book suggestion from the demon?

Sometimes, books haunt you. This one hopped in my dreams and ripped its way into my nightmares.
This one comes with heavy, heavy trigger warnings. Check those out before proceeding!

Here be dragons, indeed. Not of the friendly sort. The kind that haunt your dreams, bring you misery and sorrow, and know all the good riddles. Enjoy my review of King Sorrow by Joe Hill.
