@thomasfuchs too risky
@iralmeida youtube has some pretty solid videos about those. I'm particularly fond of Photonicinduction's https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QY6V2syGnZA

FYI the coding help I need the most for Dear ImGui are related to tech that are most foreign to me: Vulkan, OSX, Metal, Android, Linux. Many open issues/pr, need quality brain time, design time, explanations & reviews to close topics (rather that open more): https://github.com/ocornut/imgui/wiki/Help-Wanted#platformrenderer-backends
@thomasfuchs a lot to unpack in this one
Amazing graph

@purpleidea I need to spend more quality time with this to figure it out.

Best I can tell, asusctl uses WMI so it would need a new backend or something ad-hoc to be able to support the ProStudio W7604.

If I can figure out the fan curve control via direct ACPI calls, it could be worth making a dedicated tool. The 'performance' curve builtin to the firmware isn't aggressive enough.

Today marks the 30th anniversary of Id Software's Quake.

It's hard to convey how revolutionary this game was in 1996. Running on a fast Pentium, it delivered baked lighting, true 3D levels, polygonal enemies, a NIN score and Lovecraftian worlds at around 30 FPS @320x240 😜

It helped pioneer Internet FPS gaming through client-side prediction over 28.8Kb/s modems and drove adoption of early 3D accelerators.

Happy 30th Quake, thanks for the gibs.
