The Beauty of Discomfort: Finding Diamonds Through Pressure

By T.J. Wright "Discomfort isn’t the enemy of growth—it’s the forge that shapes it." Pain teaches. Anyone who’s ever touched a hot stove knows that. It’s a blunt, unforgettable lesson. That sting? It sticks with you. You remember it the next time your hand drifts too close to the burner. You grow. You learn. You change. That’s how I’ve come to view discomfort—not as a signal to stop, but as an invitation to…

The Reality of Falling: When Success Stories Hit Turbulence

We often hear about the glamorous side of leadership - the victories, the achievements, the moments of triumph. But today, I want to talk about something raw and real: what happens when the ground beneath your feet suddenly gives way. After three years of positive reviews and what seemed like solid success, I found myself facing an unexpected reversal. One moment, I was the leader helping others find their…

Beyond the Clouds: Embracing Life’s Changes

"Standing before the council of master wizards, my hands trembling as I prepared to demonstrate my magic – this memory still makes my heart race. But it wasn't actually a fantasy novel scene. This was me, submitting my first manuscript to publishers. Same sweaty palms, same racing heart, same feeling of standing naked before judgment. We all have these moments. Whether it's trying out for the varsity team, submitting your…

When Perfection Becomes the Enemy of Progress: A Writer’s Journey Through Self-Doubt

Writing is often described as a journey, but what happens when that journey hits an unexpected roadblock? As an author, I've learned that sometimes the biggest obstacles aren't external – they're the walls we build ourselves. I find myself writing often without an end goal, and most times that's not a bad thing. Like a rubber band, our creative minds need to stretch and flex to stay…

Writing is an outlet for me, I often find pieces of myself in almost every character. Whether it be the ever powerful protagonist to the seemingly unstoppable antagonist. Even down to the cowardly commoner who hides from every responsibility. The hard part is not letting your real mood be affected when writing an overly emotional scene.

“This is Kemninca, Thanan. She is your daughter,” Darkwind said, her voice steady despite her emotions.
