If you’re interested on further seeing this kind of traffic via layer 3 fingerprinting, check out sundruid/muonfp on GitHub. I’ve been able to track malicious scanners across varying ip addresses and block based on their scanning stack - using fingerprints.

@briankrebs That happens to me when I'm running a VPN sometimes. It just doesn't work and I'm banging my head wondering what's wrong. Then, 'oh yeah' and once turned off they quit sending my requests to dev/null
