Purple Martin gourds are up and ready for our seasonal visitors.
Spot the nodules on this vetch? It houses nitrogen fixing bacteria in an anaerobic environment. With sugars from the plant they fix nitrogen from the air making it available to the plants to use to grow.
Can any one tell me why they are a little bit red in color?
Don’t tell my wife I used the mini van to move plants to the farm 🤫
