The names Cerebrus and Charon are not official and are chosen by Italian weather website iLMeteo. But they do seem quite apt for the inferno caused by climate change, which will only get worse and they grab the attention of millions and bring awareness of the science of climate change caused by fossil fuels and greenhouses gases.

I've not seen the red-taileds around here for a while but I'm more often than not looking down this time of year now that the insect populations are in full gear.

This was from my friend's garden on Tuesday. He's got a ton of purple coneflowers which the bumbles love so they're easy pickin's for pics.
