After putting on gloves, and the fudge had cooled slightly, we could gently run our hands over the surface of the slab. It's like touching a thin rubbery surface🙂.
After it had cooled further, the bars were removed and we had to do a lot of scraping,, folding and finally full length flipping to keep the crystals small and mold the fudge into a baguette shape. It weighs about 10kg. The final step was cutting it into slices, closest to 185g wins, I lost. 😁
Having a fun weekend so far. Yesterday I helped one of the children take our XBox360 apart as part of his DT homework. Sadly we didn't have the screwdriver to take the heat sink off.
We had dinner out, nothing special but it made a change.
Just been for breakfast and enjoyed the view. The river is a bit high.
Now we are off to Bath to do some fudge making and a meal out at a restaurant near Bath Abbey.
Have a good day and gave fun!
