So far, not one of them has even heard about it. #smdh
An early, but still vivid, formative memory of mine was watching the noisy, black & white video of the Apollo 11 mission. It was partly responsible for my enduring sense of awe and possibility, and probably the moment I knew I had to be a scientist or engineer.
Our world is going to hell in many ways, to be sure, but we're going to the moon again today, and I can't help but get excited about that.
Seems like clever advice Iโm not sure I would have thought of in an emergency situation:
"If you're ever lost or stranded and your phone battery is low, change your voicemail to a message that gives your approximate location, the time, the date, your situation and instructions to help.
When your phone dies, your voicemail will still work and those calling will be able to help.โ
So let me get this straight: We canโt find the budget to pay our actual TSA agents, but weโve got plenty of cash to bus in ICE agents with zero experience to do their jobs?
Efficiency at its finest. What a slap in the face to the people who actually know what theyโre doing.
