Apaprently, having suffered from #covid19 recently makes you an easy target for virus infections. I learned today that the immune system may overreact and attack the infected body part, even if it is just a common cold virus.
For me, the offending part was apparently my larynx, which made me quite uncomfortable. It effectively gave me false croup. It was so bad that @FiXato sent me to urgent care . An inhaler and some steroids later, and I'm slowly feeling better. Still can't talk though.
@FiXato #3 is probably a Russula, but it is hard to determine without touching the mushroom. They crumble like cheese, and the colours in the caps are like watercolours - they are bright and variable, and they wash out easily in rainy weather!
#4 is a honey fungus. Despite the name, they aren't edible: the honey fungus is actually a species complex where some species are toxic, and it is almost impossible to tell the difference!
@FiXato I'm not 100% on English mushroom names so I had to use wikipedia for translation:
#1 is an orange birch bolete. The Norwegian name "rødskrubb" refers to the rough surface of the stem.
#2 is an ink cap. This white one is the only edible ink cap.
Being fairly new to #Demoscene, Iâm completely blown away by this video. Itâs the Making Of âSecond Realityâ by Future Crew, a very influential PC demo and certainly one of my favourites. And itâs just a bunch of finnish kids in a cramped room talking over one another? :D I especially love the music in this - Jonne Valtonen / âPurple Motionâ is 16 years old here. Absolutely incredible, these people are wizards!
