I spent last night chasing a single question: what does “no” look like in every language whose word for “no” starts with N, in standard romanization, and when the writing system isn’t Latin, how does it appear in its original script? With only four hours of sleep last night—and maybe twelve combined over the two nights before—I was exhausted but unable to rest.
