UTM parameters - Wikipedia

Source identifiers are used to track your activity on a site:
Where you came from, what device you use, and even who you talk to.

Whether it's written clearly in the url or tied to a random string of characters, it's assigned to your activity.

When you send a link containing a source identifier to somebody and they click it, it signals to the website that you two are connected.

And that data goes right back to the website operators, and thus their advertisers.

Whenever you select "share" or "copy link" on a social app or website, it creates a link like this.

If you give even the smallest shit about online privacy, it's important to remove them.

"Another farmworker, Gabriel, who came out to speak, brought a backpack full of yellow envelopes containing all his tax documents over the decades.

“These are my taxes. I have been paying my taxes for 19 years, without rights,” he said, as he pulled out each envelope and threw them on the ground in front of the podium. “I’ve been doing this year, after year, after year. For a promise that I would get my citizenship, this is my testimony that I am not a criminal. We are not criminals.”"

An 82 year old with a valid green card has been disappeared to Guatamala.

Luis Leon came to the US in 1987.

He sought asylum from political persecution in Chile.

He’s been in the US almost 40 years.

He lost his wallet (and green card) in June & when he went to replace it he was disappeared by ICE

What followed for his family is the stuff of nightmares.

They couldn’t find him. Couldn’t talk to him. Couldn’t get him a lawyer.

This was a senior citizen who did absolutely nothing wrong.

Who hasn’t lost their wallet at some point?

On July 9th the family were informed he had died.

They were consumed with grief and still had no information about what happened to him.

Mercifully it turns out that information was a mistake, and Leon was instead being held in Guatemala.

Why Guatemala? No one knows.

Was it a mistake? Was it punishment?

This is what happens when you move fast and break things.

Someone who was granted political asylum should never have to fear being deported to a foreign country. This shouldn’t even need to be said.

He has multiple health issues and his current condition is unknown.

Family is flying to Guatemala to see him

This should never happen. People need to keep speaking out.

Leon did everything the “right” way and still got disappeared.

The cruelty seems to be the point

I wrote some weekend words on why you should think twice before allowing AI access to your email, calendar, or any other personal data. This may seem obvious to some, but perhaps not to others: the privacy and security risks just aren't worth it.

CBS Cancels Stephen Colbert's Show 3 Days After He Calls Out Paramount for Trump Lawsuit

"America deserves to know if his show was canceled for political reasons," Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-Mass.) tweeted after Colbert's announcement.

Jezebel

If you haven’t been watching Colbert, you can’t imagine how focused and funny and unrelenting he has been in exposing Trump’s criminality, night after night. He has kept me sane. He has done the job the mainstream press has abdicated. He has spoken the truth.

No wonder the axe is falling.

Stephen Colbert says The Late Show will end after 33 years

Network CBS called it a financial decision tied to the "challenging backdrop in late night" TV.

Let’s be clear: This is political censorship. Just as CBS’ parent company handed Trump $16 million to settle a spurious lawsuit, this decision is about preemptively bowing to a regime that demands obedience.

We stand with Stephen Colbert and every voice that Trump wants silenced. https://www.motherjones.com/politics/2025/07/stephen-colbert-cancelled-cbs-trump-paramount/

Colbert's cancellation is a dark warning

CBS's decision marks a dangerous new stage for the culture at large.

The United States is now functionally equivalent to Nazi Germany in the 1930s.

As of today there is no more "it's going to happen" - it has now happened, fully and completely. The US government has been taken over by ultranationalist authoritarians intent on ethnic cleansing. That should be the headline of every newspaper and news program. Sound the alarm. Sound all the alarms.

The phrase "Remember your Homeland's Heritage" is textbook ethnonationalist language. 'Homeland' is meant to evoke 'blood and soil' ideology and "Heritage" is telling us that ONLY white Americans have any claim on American identity and history.
The US government is explicitly promoting white settler mythology as the nation's defining 'heritage.' This romanticized pioneer imagery serves a specific ideological function. To establish white Europeans as the only true Americans.
This propaganda isn't only about nostalgia. It's state-sponsored creation of myths specifically designed to legitimize ethnic cleansing. It's both the creation of a non-white 'enemy' and a reference to past genocidal dispossession of colonialism as a justification to do it AGAIN.
This propaganda is an ideological foundation for determining who belongs in America and who doesn't. The timing is intentional, it's meant to provide justification and support from the highest levels of government for eliminationist rhetoric.
So what should people do? The answer is a question: What would you do if you were in Germany in 1933? Knowing what you know about everything that happened, what would you have done? Do that, whatever it is. We have moved past "it can happen here". It is happening here, right now.

Take the hint, they're telling us what they're doing.

This ethnostate propaganda is central to the ultranationalist authoritarian US government's agenda to eliminate women's rights, queer rights, migrant rights, and to conduct ethnic cleansing, a "remigration" campaign that is funded, deployed, and ongoing.

"I made a rule for myself: I would not include anything that human beings had not already done in some other place or time, or for which the technology did not already exist."

— Margaret Atwood

The phrase "Remember your Homeland's Heritage" is textbook ethnonationalist language. 'Homeland' is meant to evoke 'blood and soil' ideology and "Heritage" is telling us that ONLY white Americans have any claim on American identity and history.

This ethnonationalist propoganda and rhetoric is supported at the highest levels of the US government now. It is central to policy: massive funding for ICE, gutting agencies, mass deportation as "remigration." Remember "remigration" means ethnic cleansing.
@continuation Supporters of #MiniTrump #Farage in the UK need to be aware that this is the kind of #Fascist chaos he wants to unleash here.

they’re even using that Watchtower/Atalaya illustration aesthetic where everybody looks white, even the Black people.

@continuation

@continuation Wait, is Homeland Security telling white folks to go back where they came from?
@Fat_Farang @continuation Seems they are telling white folks to go and take the land of the non-whites again.

@continuation what in white people hell is this??? 🤮🤮🤮

"Yea we hate immigrants, but we love settlers...who are definitely not immigrants...and whose 'homeland' is definitely the place they were settling and not where they were coming from." 😵‍💫😡😫

@continuation They think people don't remember... This has all been done before. Though the Germans weren't trying to do it on stolen land.

@mousey @continuation

Are we seeing the pattern? Are we seeing this is a global campaign, yes? Everyone? Are we getting it now? Are we seeing how neoliberalism failed to resist this at all over the last 50 years?

Can we finally admit now that "less evil" isn't cutting it?

@mousey @continuation they did, actually, after the first years. Check "Lebensraum" and, as example, "Warthegau".
@mousey @continuation Unfortunately, many people don't remember. This is the result of education being taken from the general public. I have learned so much more real history since I graduated from high school than I was ever taught in the public school system.
@MmmCreamy @mousey @continuation And now, because public K-12 education is being defunded in various sectors, and higher education institutions are being threatened and/or capitulating to Combover Caligula, we'll be lucky if the next generation even makes it to 11th grade w/o dropping out, assuming Trump doesn't start privatizing public schools and forcing people to pay to attend them. Oh and also assuming segregation in schools doesn't make a comeback, which wouldn't surprise me at all.

@continuation

Ah, yes, remember your heritage of being immigrants on land stolen from indigenous people who you effectively tried to exterminate.

@continuation yes, this isn’t weimar america anymore, it’s the 4th reich
@continuation
Beyond all of the other brazen bullshit within this image that is pure propaganda... it might interest intelligent folks to know that "pioneers" in their wagons did not bring sewing machines with them, the main reason being that sewing machines (like the one in this shite image) were not yet invented or sold... but yeah homeland... you be you. 🤢

@continuation

bizarrely and with a motive that can almost singularly be assessed as #accelerationism.

the sub-textual motive of the entire Project 2025, imho, has been the baiting of a civil conflict where a 'victimized' white minority can plausibly take control.
#whitenationalism

@continuation Right. Because white people are definitely from around here originally. 🙄

@continuation

Ultranationalist authoritarians in a land built by immigrants. The irony of it is deafening…

@continuation The painter left out all the big piles of slaughtered Native Americans

*you know, the people with the right to call this their Homeland

@continuation
Surely the people In that waggon are immigrants?

It even says "New Land"

@continuation
NOT IN MY NAME

I'm white. The overwhelming majority of my ancestors are white. Some of them were among the first settlers in what was then the Wisconsin Territory. Several of them homesteaded in Kansas in 1887. One of them, my grandmother, made a quilt just like that one in the painting; which I slept under throughout my childhood.

I am who is depicted here; but not who is represented. My father fought the Nazis. My mother visited post-WWII Germany to help repair their carnage. No one in this white family has any time or sympathy for fascism.

Maybe I can stop some of this administration's cruel and, frankly, anti-American policies and actions; maybe I can't. But I can tell the world that this white American wants none of it.

@continuation
this might be good for this context.

@continuation The only shocking thing to me here is that they actually credited the artist who painted this. Oh, and that this wasn't generated by CockAI.

@continuation

Remember, your homeland's heritage is genocide and theft.

@continuation Settler colonists, they weren't even there first. Fuckers.

@continuation

This is how it's ALWAYS been in the USA.

The only real difference was before was behind a thin veneer of "lawful and fair", all the while whispering "nigger" or "spic" the whole time. And if you have a certain look (dark blonde, blue eyes, tall, male), you get assumptions that you're one of the racists. People open up with their hatred.

Denials were never face to face, screaming racial shit. They were "we just arent a culture fit" - surprise, the skin tone is the culture.

But now? (86' the)45 removed the gag and the polite racism and is just open about it. And to be completely fair, I like them when they're open and frank about being racist pieces of shit. Better than the whisper campaigns.

And for those who do argue saying "wahhh my republican party hasnt always been like this!" fuck you, it has. Here's from 1981, Lee Atwater.

American political consultant and strategist for the Republican Party. He was an adviser to Republican U.S. presidents Ronald Reagan and George H. W. Bush and chairman of the Republican National Committee.

https://www.thenation.com/article/archive/exclusive-lee-atwaters-infamous-1981-interview-southern-strategy/

"You start out in 1954 by saying, “Nigger, nigger, nigger.” By 1968 you can’t say “nigger”—that hurts you, backfires. So you say stuff like, uh, forced busing, states’ rights, and all that stuff, and you’re getting so abstract. Now, you’re talking about cutting taxes, and all these things you’re talking about are totally economic things and a byproduct of them is, blacks get hurt worse than whites.… “We want to cut this,” is much more abstract than even the busing thing, uh, and a hell of a lot more abstract than “Nigger, nigger.” "

Tl;dr: The USA has ALWAYS been a white ethnostate, and has either blatantly or slyly instituted laws and policies to fuck over non-whites. Its now just open about it.
