While there may be a few producers that carry the old tradition forward, I'm ecstatic to find one that takes it and goes his own way with it. To me, this was a struggle of opposites I never was able to resolve, but to Double-G, it's a fateful synergy. The harsh synths are an uptempo parallel to Guld, with hints of Betwixt I never expected to see. With heavy rolling kicks and an atmosphere that can't be done justice in words, this is exciting work.

Enough on probable extinctions. Let's talk real ones. Who here remembers the one that happened before the Triassic period? Terrifying stuff, surreal in its destruction and unprecedented in scale. That's what this album sounds like...until beauty emerges from deeper beneath. I've never heard anything like this before, compositional but atmospheric, heavy as imaginable but never aggressive. This has been my introduction to #BlutAusNord, and I'm excited for more.
