‘Morning All, I’m Kelli. A reclamation coach, author, celebrant, and retired structural engineer, owned by two cats. When Ollie and Remi aren’t bossing me around, I enjoy reading fiction, playing with fountain pens, and non-rush hour driving.

(In reality, despite the moniker, I herd no animals. Cats don't volunteer for such foolishness.)

@chrisisgr8 Yep, I certainly got many a reminder that there were lives on the line. That factor of safety wasn't for nothing.

@NearerAndFarther Zotero saved my bacon in grad school. It wasn’t perfect, but it was close enough I could adjust easily just before printing.

@RickiTarr August 1993, I had just tuned 18.
It was a blue screen bulletin board.
30 years ago is way too long for me to remember content.

@brooklyn11211 I only use atomic notes for definitions or stuff that needs to go in multiple notes. And once I figured out how to use a pipe symbol with the text I want when referring to a heading within a note, I create fewer of them.

Atomic notes are part of an approach, use what works for your brain.

SOLVED: at least, I’ve found a workaround with CSS. See the comments.

Okay, I give up. Someone please tell me how I can permanently get rid of the backlinks/outgoing links icons in the #Obsidian sidebar?? They’re taking up too much space, pushing out the sidebar items I actually use, and making me scroll (or widen the sidebar) to see them.

I close them every time I open the app and it’s driving me crazy that they keep coming back. Can’t find anything in Settings to help.
