We had a tornado headed our way at one point today. Arturo let out a bray and the tornado out of an abundance of caution turned to the south. Sorry if you live south of us! Or really anywhere within a two mile earshot of Arturo.

98% of all new power production in the US has been from #solar and #wind in Q1 2025. These are not only the cheapest ways to generate power now, they’re also the quickest to deploy at a time when electricity prices are through the roof.
The House-passed budget bill was crafted to do maximum damage to the power grid. It won’t just hurt solar customers and 300k workers—but everyone who pays a power bill. Or who breathes! There will be thousands of deaths every year from pollution and blackouts.
When I talked to my sister yesterday she was painting trlliium, a spring favorite. Here's one of my photos from my archives. I see on a forest service website there are pink & yellow varieties in other areas.
