#RianJohnson is another director that still has this spark. The last #KnivesOut #movie shows that. And it would've been a pretty great movie, if it hadn't been the third movie. And #WakeUpDeadMan is still a good movie, but it will always be compared to the previous two movies. Unfortunately, the comparison is not in its favour. But let it not discourage you from watching it.
I never really liked #Lanthimos' films (except maybe #TheLobster) and I was hesitant to watch #Bugonia.
Bur It was actually not bad. For once, Lanthimos' movie has an ending (instead of 2+ hours of absurd for the purpose of absurd 😅).
Somewhat predictable ending, but an ending nonetheless 🙂
The camera work is consistently terrible, but also consistent with his previous movies 😅
But overall, I liked it. The second movie of his I liked.
The second season was different. It wasn't bad, but I can only describe it as a sequel. The intro dance wasn't as catchy, but I grew to love it after a few episodes. The story was more dramatic and had stronger links to the comic book chaos. I'm kind of glad there won't be a third season, at least not for a while.
I have finished the #ULTRAKILL demo - what a #game! It's exactly what the new #DOOM games should have been: fast, fun and simple. And not collecting batteries and upgrading the suit 😬
I'm definitely getting the full game after I finish with some other games in my backlog 😎
I first saw The Revenant when it was released digitally, but I couldn't finish watching it on TV in one go. I thought it was boring and monotonous and that it was made especially for the Oscars 🤢.
Having now watched it on the big screen as part of a 'classic' programme at my local cinema, it was a completely different story. The visuals and camerawork alone are worth watching it for. But only on the big screen.
