What’s the most silly reason you all ever found a video game/tv show character relatable?

Currently playing through Sympathy Kiss and started liking a character because, like myself, they seem to be terribly scared of phone calls. XD I had little interest in him before, but this kinda made him relatable.

@frankie I mean, I personally don’t enjoy watching Let’s Plays but I think it’s similar to why people enjoy watching sports instead of playing it. Less effort. No need to buy the games and they may feel entertained by the commentary. I personally really like reading game reviews from my peers to see how different people feel about games I played.

@antonyh absolutely. Social pressure on drinking is enormous. In my home country drinking and driving is extremely common and socially accepted. I’m honestly very tired of it. It gets quite worse around the holidays and not drinking will earn you some weird comments. Especially if you’re AFAB you’ll get hit with the casual “why not are you pregnant?!”.

Just a shout out to my fellow vegans out there not breaking under the social pressure! 💚 I know for some of us especially holiday season can be a struggle. Even more so for new vegans. I appreciate you all. Keep being based.
I wish more people would understand the hard thing about being vegan isn’t the food, it’s other people.

Utakata no Uchronia is living up to the hype so far imo. (Finished the 4 side dishes, now moving on to Yashiro!)

Loving how complex some of those characters are! Especially Yori & Tobari have been showing so many facets of their personality.

Recently have been so absorbed with trying to clean up my #otomegame backlog.

Funny enough one of my backlog games is #steamprison - which just happens to have a new project coming along soon. Took this as an opportunity to play the #game beforehand.

The first route definitely was a rough ride with my friend Elcreed (Elcreep, tbh). Still very cool Steampunk setting, though I’m not completely sold yet.

Anyone on here finished the game yet? Any favourites to share?

@likse @gruifor not to bash Wikipedia, but I think the people who created the vegan movement should get a say in it‘s actual meaning. I think it’s easy to ignore what it means because companies market and label everything that’s plant based as “vegan“. So to a lot of people who don’t look deeper into what veganism is, they think that veganism = plant based diet. While in fact, the animal product free diet is only one part of being vegan.

@likse @gruifor no, they are not vegan, as the term vegan follows a definition. They follow a plant based diet. Which I am not going to condemn, it’s great. But it’s not the same. You say they don’t own the term but what makes you say so? They’re the ones who created and coined the term. Do you not think they’re allowed to define their own movement?

@Haydar kommt drauf an. Bei uns gibt es (noch) alles mögliche. Fleischersatz, Käse, Desserts… kann mir aber gut vorstellen, dass sie das je nach Markt anpassen, wenn es nicht so gut läuft.

@likse @gruifor veganism is defined by the vegan society and is clearly focused on not exploiting animals. Its great you want to do your part for the environment, this is not what veganism is about though. Choosing to eat feeling sentient animals isn’t vegan, no matter how often per year. Veganism defines “as far as is possible and practicable“. For example animal derived crucial medication is considered to be fine with veganism. Choosing to exploit out of pleasure isn’t.
