Making user research count

User research at dxw digital All of our public sector client work begins with a strong user research foundation and you can read about some of our methodology on our blog. In this workshop, you'll learn about the common mistakes and blockers that people fall into when planning user research, and how to overcome them. You'll also learn important practical skills like how to build better research plans that place user needs firmly at the centre of the design process. Workshop facilitators Hilary Chan (Senior User Researcher, dxw digital) Hilary has been at dxw digital since 2017 working on a range of projects with clients varying from Hackney Council's Report a Repair Service to the Department for Business Energy and Industrial Strategy's (BEIS) Small Business Commissioner Service. Before joining dxw, Hilary was the product owner for Kobo eBook's online self-serve help portal (Kobo Help) and managed the UX writing team in charge of UI copywriting, user guides, and product content design.  Vita Mangan (Senior User Researcher, dxw digital) Vita joined dxw after a 5-year journey helping a tech startup become the largest independently owned company in the space working with restaurants in the UK, USA and NZ. Her latest projects at dxw include working closely with the Government Digital Service, BEIS, the NHS and Metropolitan Thames Valley Housing. In 2018, Vita led a research project exploring how people with accessibility needs could take a more active role in the community of makers.

This REALLY nails a typical day of street harassment. Especially if you commute via public transit/walking as opposed to driving to each destination.

I cannot adequately express just how beautiful #MuseumOfTheMoon looks in Ely cathedral. It’s my ~14th install but I was just dumbstruck once it was up. #Cambridge people you should pop over and take a look.
