High-speed artworking.

By the end of the Christmas break I was starved for creativity, but couldn't quite get going. Good moment for a challenge: How many artworks can I make in 90 minutes using elements from older pieces? Answer: 9. Is that cheating? No idea. Are they good? No idea. Are they finished? No idea.

Which brings up the same old question again: when is an artwork finished? When I'm no longer feeling it? When it's posted on Instagram? Who cares. It was fun. Timelapse reel on Insta.

I’m always amazed at how little importance some companies place on complaint management. Dear fellow freelancers from Germany: Irgendwer eine Empfehlung für eine webbasierte, simple Buchhaltungs- / Rechnungssoftware? #Billomat ist nicht mehr tragbar.
Rest in peace, Renato Casaro. Quite a few of your movie posters hung on my wall during my youth.

Our licences are still discounted this week: https://getkirby.com/buy

Get even bigger discounts by buying one of our volume packages! Licences can be bought in stock and activated, or moved to future clients later.

I’ve been a big fan of si-fai movies and shows. This is our brand new typeface, Turbeau, in use.

I’m now a #btMember, a friend of @btconf. That means I give Marc a bit of cash to help him keep my favourite conference going.

In return, I also get some goodies. I recently received my “Stay Curious” letterpress print by Rob Draper. So cool. Thanks, Marc & Rob!

People, I’ll say it again:
Support your local and independent artists, magazines, events … your culture, for funk’s sake 😁

In response to a #blog post by @medienbaecker, I wanted to write something about my component based #styleguide in @getkirby for a long time. So that it doesn't become an endless project, here is the first (small) part – frontend components

Completely fell in love with Gavin Strange’s web 1.0 designs / opening titles for Beyond Tellerrand 2024 in DÜS. Still at the hotel, and in a burst of inspiration, I made a fusion of two silly side projects: Artifactor x Stewwood Brewing = Random digital art based on beer data. Refreshes every 20 seconds – or just refresh it yourself.

Accessibility no-brainers

My no-brainer accessibility improvements for smaller projects. From using the right HTML elements to preventing your animations from making people sick.
