Probably one of the coolest places I've seen my ilovesec.com sticker posted! If I can't be in the snow, at least an extension can be. Awesome also seeing the @GrrCON sticker too.

Could somebody please tell me why scammers continually use the "Refresh" item on their Windows desktop? IT MAKES NO DIFFERENCE, yet scammers seem to click it all the time. Why?

We’re here because things like LLMNR/Netbios, SMB signing, ADCS misconfigs, security teams mandating password rotations frequently and because Bob in accounting needs to click on links. Don’t get me started on cloud.
There's a lot to unpack here:

On Monday I got to see a band that I've been a fan of since mid-2018. It's kind of hard to explain the particular connection I have with this band because of the very strange manner in which I discovered them: I had wrapped up my Masters degree and began digging into #InformationSecurity. There happened to be an Android bug that resulted in a very strange display of text messages on a device - type an extra period in the domain and you'd see all the texts. I decided to check out the actual website and found a weird music video "Give Yourself A Try" by a band called #the1975 - fast forward four years later - I associate the band with my journey in this field so far.

A strange situation to become a fan of a band, but I've been able to see them twice in the four years and in a fitting twist, the last song played from their over two hour set Monday was... "Give Yourself A Try".

I'm curious though: does anyone else have a similar case with #Music or #Bands as it relates to your #career in #InfoSec or otherwise?
