@boanus Thanks for this. My next thoughts were about exactly how the federated timeline works- if all instances by default plugged into that timeline. So, the federated timeline does not show ALL POSTS EVER, only the posts that for my collection of instances, and of those the ones that my instance federates with.
Hi all, new to #mastodon. Correct me if I'm wrong, but at the moment I'm understanding instances as similar to reddit's sub-reddits, and then the local timeline is effectively the news feed from that sub-reddit. Am I off in this?
