Good morning to my lovely community! So much on my mind today, so much to be done... trying not to be overwhelmed.

The world is burning and fascism is here. They are snatching people off of the streets just for being brown.

I can't stop this but we can. I can't be there to de-arrest the millions of humans they plan to kidnap & this has made my empathetic self depressed and detached at times.

There is one disabled Indigenous Latina family, homeless for over a year, sheltering in a hotel, following eviction that I know I can help today for at least today. They are way safer inside of a hotel than in the streets.

@SabiLewSounds is a disabled 24/7 caretaker for elderly mom w/ dementia & artist, but most of all she's my friend.

There are others who post their needs here, but there's not a sense of #community

On #Instagram, #Threads & #Bluesky, there's a network of people sharing and supporting for each other

There's a sense of community without it being assumed it's simply about funds being sent

Of course funds can't come from nowhere

But here is the problem with this platform...
