The last #Pahlavi shah, #MuhammadRezaShah, fled #Iran on #ThisDayInHistory in 1979, closing a chapter of the #IranianRevolution. He did not abdicate but stole a great deal of the country's wealth & did not return. His son #RezaPahlavi remains a pretender to a nonexistent throne.

From what I've seen, Iran was being unacceptable in #womensrights and I certainly disagree with religion and government being together.
AND ALSO I do know rich monarchs who rub shoulders with Nazis and rich settler genocidal states while calling for violence/risk in a fight they aren't in... yeah that's a real bad dude. I DO know that. You do not need a PhD in #Iran for that to be crystal clear.

You know, the people advocating for illegalizing #trans people, killing and trafficking #immigrants , #theology and wholeheartedly embracing #Nazi talking points and policies.
