@dickrubin716 Great suggestions, thanks! 😊

@KurtHohmann Good morning! 😊 β›ˆοΈ We're actually supposed to get some storms today, which is delightful.

#ScribesAndMakers 29Augβ€”Are there any sounds that bring back good memories for you?

I'm sound sensitive, so there are many, but I'll focus on one.

The sound of an impending thunderstorm. The rustling of leaves in the wind, the distant rumbling of thunder, the raindrops just as they start hitting the ground.

This reminds me of my childhood, when all 3 kids would sit on my parent's bed and watch the storm roll in. It's especially nostalgic now, since my mom's passing (she loved thunderstorms).

#WordWeavers 29Augβ€”SC POV: What's your favorite color to wear?

"I don't really have a preference," Caius said. "Although, I'm not overly fond of bright colors. I'll wear any color, but a darker hue of it. Forest green, midnight blue, burgundy, and such."

"You look *delicious* in burgundy," Francis said.

Caius's face softened with a shy smile. "Thank you."

Noting that Caius was wearing burgundy at that moment, the interviewer kindly thanked them for their time and left the room.

No worries. 😊

I also think it's important to consider context, like you said. If every character had a unique fantasy name but there's one Bob, I'd be a little taken aback. But if every character had a IRL name, I wouldn't think twice.

It works the other way as well. If everyone was named Bob or Sally, I'd be a little jarred by seeing a Gandalf or Kaladin. I tread this line a bit with my made-up name for Jaslan, although I have some off-world characters with made-up names later on. πŸ€·β€β™€οΈ

I'm a Pats fan by birth, so obviously I love them. However, there's a special place in my heart for the Bills. I just want them to have their moment in the SB spotlight. So while I cheer for the Pats, I want the Bills in the SB.

Anyway, we're going to the week 4 game, Pats vs. Panthers. I'm going with my dad and two brothers, and none of us have been to an NFL game, so we're pumped!

@kmherkes
I get that sentiment. I've heard that from a few about my books as well. I try to chalk it up to "not every book is for everyone", but it still hurts sometimes. πŸ’š
@Ink_Soul @willelm Yeah, I was gonna say the same thing! πŸ˜
