@ar387 aha - that’s cool, you may have unlimited supercharging then? I remember seeing a fully charged episode where Robert Llewelyn had the battery swapped in his early leaf. Great that you can get the battery in your S changed by an independent.
We are just getting solar quotes - I had planned to use much of the power myself, with divert to EV (already have a Zappi for that) and also battery storage. I would like to eliminate the gas boiler too… would be good if there was a turnkey option.
@ar387 sorry to hear about your car battery failing. Older leaf maybe? I understand the earlier ones had a different battery chemistry, as well as lower kWh so if this is the right car, it will be a big upgrade in range. 👍
Assume you are getting a replacement out of a newer scrapped car, great that you have access to a garage that can do this.
Impressive generation figures too.
@vivdunstan I first saw Blake’s 7 on VHS in the 1980’s, my gran rented them for me when I went to stay with her. I think they were edits of a number of episodes.
Thanks for the info on the blu-rays - now I know what to ask my wife to get me for my next birthday 👍
@vivdunstan sorry to hear this. I really enjoyed Blake’s 7. I also did not know about the remaster project. I have a set of BBC DVD’s from years ago.
@m I have sadly found Apple to be a bit impenetrable when talking accessibility and assistive tech. Definitely have some weird nerd tendencies over here too. I may be looking at an old android and wondering how bothered I am about unlocking the boot loader… sadly these days I am a very time poor weird nerd
@m thanks and yes I saw the negative early feedback, so I left upgrading until the recent security patches seemed wise given Brian Krebs highlighting of Darksword https://techcrunch.com/2026/03/23/someone-has-publicly-leaked-an-exploit-kit-that-can-hack-millions-of-iphones/

Leaked "DarkSword" exploits published to GitHub allow hackers and cybercriminals to target iPhone users running old versions of iOS with spyware, according to cybersecurity researchers.

@vivdunstan this is the phoenix webpage from tapbots (they talk about cross platform posting) https://tapbots.com/phoenix/
Phoenix for Bluesky

@vivdunstan thank you! I will keep looking for a solution, one of the things I like about Ivory is that you just get the posts from the people you follow in timeline sequence. This is what I most liked about Tweetbot, Tapbots old twitter client l, before Elon killed third party client access to twitter. I do miss the old twitter and the networks of friends on there.
@vivdunstan I hope you don’t mind me asking … I just noticed you posted a very similar looking message about the virtual tour you are planning on both Bluesky and Mastodon, are you using a tool to post to both platforms simultaneously? I use tapbots ivory for mastodon and I am not really getting on with the Bluesky client, so hopefully tapbots will get phoenix (their Bluesky client) out soon…
And can I add that I hate that the buttons move around, swell and ping about - what on earth are you doing Apple
